I paint for purely selfish reasons. I enjoy the colour and the mark-making. My paintings may look chaotic, or even angry, but for me, they are decidedly not.
In this work, I am inspired by the fleeting, almost ethereal moment before sunrise, when darkness begins to dissolve, surrendering to the gentle embrace of a soft, bluish dawn.
